48 people, among them 18 minors, have been evicted from the social housing block ‘La Dignidad’, without a housing alternative.The block is owned by the vulture fund Midtown CA Spain S.L., which did not have the slightest interest in finding a solution for all these people.

Coordinadoramadrid together with other organisations, among which PAH (Plataforma de Afectadas por la Hipoteca), have set up, next to the Congress of Deputies, a cardboard neighbourhood to demand some key points to be included in the Housing Law.

With great support from housing collectives, the attempted eviction of Pilar and her daughters is suspended.
Pilar had to flee her previous home due to a situation of enormous violence (accredited by the court) by her partner.
CaixaBank, owner of the current property where ‘Pili’ lives, as well as the court and the administrations do not offer them a dignified solution, such as social renting.

Nearly 4.000 farmers and hundreds of tractors take over the centre of Madrid. Tractor drivers slowly clear the area around the Ministry of Agriculture, where they had gathered.

On the afternoon of Tuesday 29th October 2024, the most devastating hurricane (DANA) in decades, passed through the south and east of Spain, causing floods that have hit hard especially the Valencian Community, leaving more than 200 dead and incalculable material damage, as well as moral damage to the people affected.
